THE SUBMARINERS WEEKEND

13 and 14 April 2018

The Submariners Weekend is an annual thematic weekend, which takes place in spring and marks the arrival of the P-913 Zeta submarine to the Park of Military History. The event is carried out in cooperation with former submariners from the Submariner Society (Društvo Podmorničar), who on this occasion take the visitors into the submarine and reveal them the secret world of life and work under the sea.

THE SPRING HIKE ALONG THE CIRCULAR TRAIL OF MILITARY HISTORY

The hike along the Circular Trail of Military History is a sport and recreational event with military- historical content. During the 4-hour hike along the 15-kilometre-long Circular Trail of Military History, the participants start at the Park of Military History and first ascend Primož hill, where they visit the underground fort of the Alpine Wall. The next stop is on the top of the Šilentabor plateau, where the greatest fortification system in Slovenia used to stand. What follows is the descent to the valley, refreshment at the Pri Andrejevih tourist farm and return to the Park of Military History.

THE TANK WEEKEND

25 and 26 May 2018

The Tank Weekend is an annual thematic weekend, which takes place in spring and adds variety to the pre-season events in the Park of Military History. The event includes demonstration rides of vehicles belonging to the drivable part of the Park of Military History’s collection, enabling the visitors to admire the power and mobility of military armoured vehicles.

THE FESTIVAL OF MILITARY HISTORY

13–15 September 2019

The Festival of Military History is the main event in the Park of Military History, which traditionally takes place in the third week of September. Visitors most enjoy the illustration of a military combat, a display of life in different military camps and demonstration rides of armoured vehicles. The Festival’s programme is also complemented by openings of new exhibitions, interesting lectures, guided exhibitions and other interesting contents.
